Tax Day, April 15, 2003. "Riot Industry" is the first single off of Easy
Listening!, Cobra Verde's brand new album. On the one hand, it's a
tongue-in-cheek indictment of the American lie. On the other hand, a hard
rocking twisted slice of the American dream gone sideways, making this THE
record of 2003 for fans of thinking man's rock.
Signing Cobra Verde didn't involve elaborate marketing plans and convoluted
strategies, says Kramer. "They're a fantastic rock band who will be
understood by a such a diverse group of rock fans. If you like the Hives or
the Queens of the Stone Age, then you're gonna get it. If you love Bowie or
