In a wholly unexpected announcement,
Jimmy Zero, former rhythm guitarist and key co-songwriter in Cleveland's now infamous Dead Boys
has formed a brand new band and he's calling it Lesbianmaker!
Jimmy Zero's Lesbianmaker debuted in a small club on Christmas night in 1998 on the East Side of Cleveland,
OH, to an overwhelmingly excited response. Zero's fans were completely surprised to learn that he had decided
to return to writing and playing.
"I haven't played in a band in 15 years. I went away because, when I left the Dead Boys, I was making music
for all the wrong reasons. What brought me back to a band was what attracted me in the first place: My love
for the music."
Since that first gig, the band has transformed itself. The musicians who have passed through the line-up
feature Clevelanders you have seen and heard on the scene before: Rae Gunn (ex-Vivians, ex-Heathers)
playing bass, Ant (Satan's Satellites) on drums, and Bobby J. (ex-Godsquad) playing lead guitar. And other
players who are new to the rock and roll landscape:
Zero writes the material, sings and plays guitar.
